MPACT AUSTIN to award $500,000
IMPACT AUSTIN, the Austin women's collective-giving group, will award $500,000 in grants to five area nonprofits on TUESDAY, June 24th with key members in attendance. Each group will receive $100,000 each and presentations made at each recipient’s location.
Members of Impact Austin will go to each grant recipient on Tuesday at the scheduled times (see attached sheet and at very bottom of email) to make the presentations. The five area nonprofits receiving grants this year include: Anthropos Arts, Ann Richards School Foundation, Austin Youth River Watch, CASA of Travis County, and Samaritan Center. This is a terrific video or photographic opportunity with leaders from Impact Austin and the various organizations available at each location for photos or interviews. Ellen Richards (Ann Richards daughter) will be in attendance at the Ann Richards School presentation, as well as many other key leaders at all five locations.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions, or if you would like to attend or possibly set up an interview. See the release and details below, and the schedule for Tuesday is attached with a route, directions and addresses. The presentations start at 9 am and last about 10-15 minutes and we will be at each location for about 30 minutes each until the last one, which starts at 1 pm. A fact sheet about Impact Austin is also attached for background, if needed. www.impact-austin.org
