UT receives $790,000 for academics
Chevron contributed $793,100 through its University Partnership Program to support academic programs at the University of Texas for the 2011-12 academic year.
Major components of the contribution include:
$256,000 to the College of Engineering for scholarships, service organizations, undergraduate research and other initiatives;
• $100,000 to the Jackson School of Geosciences to support students in earth sciences;
• $52,000 to the McCombs School of Business for fellowships and activities related to its MBA programs;
• $143,500 toward information technology initiatives including $60,000 to the Texas Advanced Computing Center.
