The Newfield Foundation makes $35,000 donation to NAM for Meals on Wheels

The Newfield Foundation made a gift of $35,000 to Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) for its Meals on Wheels program.  “The Newfield Foundation is a long-time supporter of


NAM,” said Carole Little, NAM President & CEO. “The Meals on Wheels program is one of our most needed programs, and this gift will help us continue to deliver hot meals to homebound individuals.”


In NAM’s 2008-09 fiscal year, its Meals on Wheels program provided 137,430 nutritious meals to an average of 550 homebound seniors and disabled adults each weekday and 90 individuals on Saturdays.

The Newfield Foundation was formed in 2001 by Newfield Exploration Company. In 2009, the Foundation gave more than $500,000 to causes and charities addressing needs in the community. The mission of the Newfield Foundation is to improve the quality of life through support of programs in the environment, medical, cultural arts and community services.

NAM is a nonprofit, community-based social service agency that is supported by over 50 congregations, 18 Service Partner organizations and more than 160 businesses Community Partners.
