Nonprofit wage, benefit results revealed June 27

The results are in! Steve Werling of Werling Associates Inc. will share the results of the 2017 San Antonio Not-for-Profit Wage and Benefit Survey on Tuesday, June 27. This year's report includes job-specific compensation data from 91 agencies.

Board Boot Camp is an interactive workshop that helps board members understand the roles and responsibilities of serving on a board. A highlight of the event is the moderated panel. Board chairs and nonprofit CEOs speak candidly about how they work together to lead their nonprofits.

Juneteenth Celebration early bird ticket deadline extended

Early bird rate for tickets to the Fourth Annual Juneteenth Celebration and Casino Night fundraiser has been extended to May 31. The event is hosted by the San Antonio Area African American Community Fund, a community outreach fund of the Area Foundation.

On Friday, June 16, join dynamic professionals and civic leaders for an evening of great music, exciting casino games and delicious food to raise money for local nonprofits.

Support this great cause by purchasing your early bird ticket before Wednesday, May 31 for $40. After this date, tickets will go up to $50.

33 nonprofit professionals earn supervisory, management certificate

Thirty-three nonprofit mid-level and first-time managers completed the Supervisory and Management certificate program on May 19. Offered by the San Antonio Area Foundation in partnership with the H-E-B School of Business and Administration at the University of the Incarnate Word, this 30-hour program covers the fundamentals of management and leadership, interpersonal communications skills, performance management and so much more. Hosts needed for global community fellowship program

Through the Community Solutions Program (CSP), the best and brightest global community leaders will be completing four-month internships at select U.S. nonprofits.

Nonprofits in the areas of transparency and accountability, tolerance and conflict resolution, environmental issues, and women and gender issues are invited to serve as host sites. (Photo credit: IREX)
