Cats Caravan tour to include Texas State student inventors in 2017
Texas State University

February, 2017

Texas State University’s 2017 Cats Caravan bus tour will make stops in four cities this year—Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and Houston.

The annual Cats Caravan, which aims to spread Bobcat Pride statewide, is organized by the Texas State Alumni Association along with Texas State Athletics, the Bobcat Club and University Advancement. Cats Caravan is sponsored by Regent Coach Line and University Federal Credit Union.

All Cats Caravan events will feature a university update from President Denise M. Trauth. This year’s tour will feature for the first time some of Texas State's student inventors to showcase game-changing technology being developed on campus. Participants will see how corporate partners are helping to take these new ideas to the marketplace. From biometric authentication and virtual reality to recyclable fabric and apps to help resolve child obesity issues, Texas State student research is solving real-world problems.
