Funding Available to Support Children and Youth, Medicine and Healthcare Programs

Our Annual Responsive Grants cycle one application opens on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. These grants fund programs that enable children and families to lead safe and productive lives. It also funds programs that promote healthy lifestyles. Deadline to submit a grant application is Friday, February 10, 2017 at midnight.

In 2016, we awarded 43 grants totaling $1,060,813 for cycle one. The Texas Diaper Bank was one of the grant recipients that received funding to support the families they serve. "The $50,000 grant from the San Antonio Area Foundation is going to impact the lives of over 12,000 children here in Bexar county. It's going to provide not only diapers, but other health necessities as well as expand our education components. We couldn’t be more thankful for the gift," said Emilio Arriola, Development Manager.
