Ahern 14.49: A conference for unicorns

The 1st Nonprofit Storytelling conference in Seattle was weirdly different: sparks flew. The 2nd, this past week, was even more moving: tears flew. ------ 

This has never happened to me at a conference before: I couldn't stop crying about all sorts of things.

The news. Shanon's time in foster care. Personal failings. And the things I love: Simone, friends and family and France (the ISIS attacks on Paris had just happened).

This conference cracked me open like Humpty. That's something you don't get with your average registration. Nor do you get a closely orchestrated conference focused on just one (complex) money-making issue: storytelling.
