Upbring Announces Leadership Appointment: Andy Benscoter Named Vice President of Education and Innovation

Upbring, an organization committed to ending multi-generation child abuse through innovative children’s services, announced the leadership appointment of Andy Benscoter as Vice President of Education and Innovation.

“Andy Benscoter is a strategic thinker who brings years of education experience to Upbring, serving in a wide variety of leadership roles in faith based schools and organizations across the country,” said Upbring President and CEO Kurt Senske.   “Education is pivotal to ending the cycle of child abuse in Texas, and I firmly believe that Andy can help Upbring do some tremendously innovative things in that space to help reach the children, families and communities that we serve.” 

Ending the cycle of child abuse in Texas begins with education. Andy will be responsible for all of Upbring’s educational and vocational training programs. His expertise will help to provide innovative curriculum, training and educational services to Upbring families, children and staff. 

Andy comes to Upbring from Redeemer Lutheran School in Austin, TX where he served as Principal. Prior to serving at Redeemer, Andy served as Principal at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran School in Scottsdale, AZ and as Adjunct Professor at Peru State College. He is a member of the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center, graduate of the Van Lunen Cohort Center, the Lutheran Education Association and the American Association of School Administrators.
