Thanks a Bunch! Now it's Time To Celebrate!
Cibolo Nature Center & Farm

May, 2015

Let's party!

The Big Give was a great success!  We raised over $6,000. Thank you for caring. Thank you for sharing. Now let's celebrate together with a Saturday full of fun!  Keep reading to check out 6 things to do with us tomorrow,  May 9th.
1.  Volunteer
The CNC & Farm encompasses 160 acres of land with buildings, trails, waterways, and more to maintain.  While we have a great team of staff and volunteers working everyday to keep the place spic and span, sometimes we need even more help.  There's nothing like getting a big group together to tackle a project head-on!  Every Second Saturday you'll find a big group of volunteers doing just that.
This Saturday's project is a building clean-out over at the Historic Herff Farm. Help go through this former aviary and storage building as we remove forgotten items decade by decade. To join in or learn more, email Krystal here.
2. Shop
The Farmers Market at the Cibolo at 33 Herff Road is the perfect spot for your Saturday morning shopping and leisure.  Buy homegrown goodies and artisan products while munching on kolaches, sipping coffee, and enjoying live music under the shade of oak trees.
3. Hike
At 10:00am over at the Herff Farm, kids 3 to 103 can join in on a nature hike.  A nature guide will lead a tour of the trails of the Herff Farm.  $5.00 suggested donation per family.
4. Waddle
The Second Annual Art Waddle is hosted by neighbors in the Flats area of Boerne.  They invite you to visit their yards where artists will have paintings, illustrations, jewlery, pottery, sculpture, and more available to see and purchase.  Proceeds help support scholarships to the Cibolo Nature Center & Farm Summer Camp.
Meet up at 204 W. San Antonio in Boerne and waddle, stroll, ride bikes, and picnic along from 10am to 4pm.  Check out the Art Waddle page and map to get all the info!
5.  Be an Artist
Art in the Park is a free community festival at the Cibolo Nature Center that celebrates both the beauty of nature blooming in the spring and artistic expression. Visual and performing artists are featured along with many hands on activities for everyone. Art in the Park is a collaboration between Cibolo Nature Center & Farm and the Cibolo Arts Council. Professional and student artists set up art activity stations at the Nature Center, 140 City Park Road. Children and adults participate together in making creative works of art and activities. Entertainers of all ages perform music, dance and storytelling throughout the day.
6. Dance
This Moondance concert will be held in our CNC auditorium due to the large looming chances of rain! But you can still bring your own drinks, food, lawn chairs, and friendly, leashed pets. Plus, kids under 12 are free. The view is still fantastic, and the music promises to delight and get your toes tapping. You’re going to want to get up and dance. A lot! If weather permits, you can sit on the large open porches or patios. Of course, we'll have chairs inside the auditorium in the event of rain -- which we are always happy to see!

Come listen to the music of The Court Jesters! This fun-lovin' group of lawyers play horn-driven rock and rhythm & blues classics. They'll have you out on the dance floor all night long! You won't want to miss out on this evening of music and fun. Check out their website at the link below.

Gates open at 7 PM. Music starts at 7:30 PM.

COST: CNC members $7.50; Non-CC $10.00; Seniors $5.00; kids 12 and under are free.
