Happy Holidays from Lawndale Art Center!

Everyone at Lawndale Art Center sends our best wishes to you and yours for a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year!

2014 Annual Fund

Lawndale Art Center has engaged the Houston community as THE place to experience local contemporary art for free. Because of generous support from the community, Lawndale serves both individuals, who are interested in participating in and learning about the creative process, and artists who wish to offer their work to larger audiences. All programs presented here are produced by local artists with only modest financial support to assist with the cost of creating new work. Much of this work would often be able to be presented elsewhere due to its site-specific, experimental or ephemeral nature.

At the end of the year we understand that many worthwhile organizations are asking for contributions to their Annual Fund campaigns. A gift to Lawndale Art Center gives artists the freedom to create and audiences the opportunity to explore new ideas.

Please consider supporting our 2014 Annual Fund. YOU help US make great things happen at Lawndale and we could not be more grateful for your support.

Thank you!
Christine West
Executive Director

#studiovisit is a series of posts offering you a look inside the studios of artists Lawndale works with throughout the year. Our most recent post offers a look inside the work space of Margaret Smithers-Crump. Her exhibition, Pulse, is on view in the Grace R. Cavnar Gallery through January 10, 2015.
