Children First: Our top priority is ensuring a better future for our children. Will you help?
Children at Risk

December, 2014

It has been 25 years since CHILDREN AT RISK opened its doors to embark on an important mission: to serve as a catalyst for change to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy. I am writing to ask you to donate to CHILDREN AT RISK today

Every dollar donated towards our research and advocacy efforts could make the difference in a law being passed, a bill being signed, and most importantly, in the life of a child.

With the help of advocates like you, CHILDREN AT RISK has made great strides in speaking out and driving change for children in Texas:

  • In our first 25 years, CHILDREN AT RISK influenced the passage of over 70 pieces of legislation.
  • In the 83rd Legislative Session, CHILDREN AT RISK testified at 46 legislative hearings – 41 of those Bills passed.
  • In the 83rd Legislative Session, over 90% of legislation drafted by CHILDREN AT RISK became law.

With these victories, you have given the children of Texas hope. Please help us continue our work in 2015. As our Houston and North Texas offices will be closed until Monday, January 5, I would now like to take the opportunity to wish you and your family the happiest of holidays!

Very truly yours,

Dr. Bob Sanborn
President and CEO
