IMPORTANT NEWS Regarding the NMC-VSO Certification Program…

We have a few scholarship opportunities left and want to make it as easy as possible for folks who are serving our military community to participate in the 2014-2015 Nonprofit Management Certification for Veterans’ Service Organizations (NMC-VSO) training program.  Here’s how:

  • We have extended the deadline to complete the application until Thursday, September 4th.  To apply, click here: ).  This opens our online application.  Applicants must create an account (if they have not already), and then choose "Nonprofit Management Certification Program-Veteran Serving Organizations (2014-2015).”
  • We can now accept tuition in installments.  Anyone interested in this option should contact Melissa Beach(mbeach@saafdn.orgfor further information.
  • Not sure about whether or not to participate in the program? Attend the “Military Culture and Military Benefits Mini-Conference and Course Overview” mini-conference kick-off from 9am – 4pm on Saturday September 6th, 2014 for a fee of $75 (and if you continue in the program, the fee will be applied toward tuition for those who continue in the program).  Preregistration for the September 6 event is required by September 3rd via email to Melissa Beach (

This training program is first-class and the opportunity to network with others in the military-serving sector is priceless
