Upcoming Events

Saturday, February 8, 2014
11 AM - 5 PM
Drawing on view through February 15, 2014
John M. O'Quinn Gallery

The public is invited to help create drawings on the walls of the main gallery space at Lawndale Art Center with studio artist Shayne Murphy. The walls of the gallery will be completely covered in paper and participants are encouraged to let loose in the open space to help create a collaborative drawing. The event will take place in the O'Quinn Gallery on Saturday February 8th, 11 AM to 5 PM. It is open to all ages, artists and non-artists alike, so bring the little ones and let them express their inner Picasso on the walls of Lawndale instead of your living room! Materials along with snacks and beverages will be provided. Aprons will be provided but participants are encouraged to wear clothing that they do not mind getting a bit messy.

The finished drawing will remain on view to the public through Saturday, February 15. Come for an hour or hangout all day and help create a unique collaborative artwork on the walls of Lawndale!
