Children at Risk September Newsletter
Children At Risk

October, 2013

Dear Jackie ,

September was a whirlwind! CHILDREN AT RISK participated in 7 events this month across North Texas, meeting more than 300 people and raising awareness around the needs of children, especially food insecurity and human trafficking. Thank you to all of you who were able to participate and who continue to spread the word about the things you learned! If you weren’t able to participate, there are more opportunities to get involved in 2013.

Did you know that September was National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month? If you haven’t already, join us in fighting childhood obesity through the month of October by taking the challenge from H-E-B and IT'S TIME TEXAS and make a pledge to demonstrate that our community has the greatest commitment to healthy living in Texas. Learn how you can help your city win!

We thank you for your continued support and for lending us, and the children of Texas, your voice to raise awareness and move us closer to a Texas where all children have the opportunity to flourish!

My very best,

Jaime Hanks Meyers
Managing Director, North Texas
