Boys & Girls Harbor Announces Inaugural "Fantasy Football Draft Night"
Boys & Girls Harbor

August, 2013

HOUSTON, Texas (August 1, 2013) - Friday, September 6th, Boys & Girls Harbor will be presenting Houston's inaugural "Fantasy Football Draft Night" at Reliant Stadium.  Sportscaster Bob Allen will be serving as the Commissioner overseeing this exciting new event being held for the first time in Houston. The evening will also include silent and live auctions with incredible packages, trips, and sports memorabilia.

Fantasy Football Weekly Update LogoEach guest at the event will draft his/her own fantasy football team while enjoying food, beverages, and the opportunity to visit with a growing list of sports celebrity "coaches" who will be in attendance.  A partial list of celebrity coaches includes former Houston Oilers and Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end Elvin Bethea, former Houston Oilers and Pro Football Hall of Fame safety Kenny Houston, former Houston Oilers quarterback Dan Pastorini, former Houston Oilers tight end Alvin Reed, and former Houston Oilers head coach Ed Biles.  Local sports authority Barry Warner, host of SportsRadio 610's "The Barry Warner Show" will also be participating in the evening's festivities.

Following nine weeks of the National Football League season, the fantasy football team with the best record from each table will advance to a series of playoff games to determine the fantasy football "super bowl" champion.  Weekly updates will be sent to the guests following the event to keep them informed of their team's record.  The person who successfully drafted the overall winning fantasy football team will win two tickets to the 2014 Super Bowl and two season tickets for the Houston Texans 2014 season.  Volunteers will be assisting each table during the draft so guests do not need to have prior fantasy football experience to enjoy this fundraising event benefiting Boys & Girls Harbor.  Ticket information for the Harbor's "Fantasy Football Draft Night" is available at
