Morganís Wonderland To Offer Special Entertainment During Spring Break, March 11-15

As an added bonus during spring break, March 11-15, Morgan’s Wonderland guests will enjoy special entertainment daily that’s free with park admission.

“We’re delighted to offer performances by magicians, musicians and other talented individuals during spring break,” said Ron Morander, Morgan’s Wonderland general manager.  “This will be in addition to our more than 25 attractions including rides, playscapes and gardens.”

Actually, the 25-acre theme park – designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built to be enjoyed by everyone – will be open daily March 8 through 17.  The latest information on admissions, operating days and hours of operation can be found at

The Morgan’s Wonderland lineup of special entertainment is as follows:

                Monday, March 11

                Paul the Magician from American Rubber Chicken Productions, 10:30 a.m. and noon, Rapier Starlight Amphitheater.

                Pickleball (played with a perforated plastic baseball and wooden paddles on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches in the center), 1-4 p.m., Event Center.

                Tuesday, March 12 (Morgan’s Wonderland T-Shirt Day)

                Each guest wearing a Morgan’s Wonderland T-shirt will receive a small bag of popcorn free of charge.

                Fiddler Morgan Fuller, the reigning Ms. Lubbock, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Amphitheater.

                Twirler Caroline Carothers, 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Amphitheater.

                Voices from the Heart Choir (that includes members with special needs), 1 p.m., Amphitheater.

                Wednesday, March 13

                The Magic of Cody Sanders, 11 a.m., Amphitheater.

                Pop musical group “Elora and Gasoline Alley,” 1-2:30 p.m., Amphitheater.

                Pickleball, 1-4 p.m., Event Center.

                Thursday, March 14 (Morgan’s Wonderland T-Shirt Day)

                Zoofari live-animal exhibition, 10 a.m., Amphitheater.

                Leon Valley Ballet Folklorico, noon-1 p.m., 2-3 p.m., Amphitheater.

                Friday, March 15

                Paleontologist Dinosaur George, 11 a.m., 1 p.m., Amphitheater.

                “Elora and Gasoline Alley,” 2:30-3:30 p.m., Amphitheater.

                Morgan’s Wonderland is now the focal point of “Wonderland, Texas,” a family fun destination that also includes the STAR (South Texas Area Regional) Soccer Complex; the Scorpions FC, San Antonio’s pro soccer team; new, 8,000-seat, multi-purpose Toyota Field, new home of the Scorpions; and Monarch Academy at Morgan’s Wonderland, a school for students with special needs.

                While Morgan’s Wonderland began its 2013 season March 1, the Scorpions the Scorpions will play their first home match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday, April 13.

Net profits from the Scorpions, Toyota Field and STAR Soccer have been designated to help non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland meet its financial obligations as well as expand programs and services for the special-needs community, Morander explained.
