Children at Risk February Newsletter
Children at Risk

March, 2013

Dear Jackie,

This month has offered an abundance of opportunities to get into the community and share some of our latest findings on issues affecting our children. From advocating on the capitol steps in Austin to working with the American Bar Association to get lawyers more involved in ending child sex trafficking, we have had the opportunity to share ideas with community leaders, speak with more service providers regarding collaboration, and disseminate our latest findings regarding public education.

The next month promises to be just as exciting and we hope you’ll check out our calendar and join us for our next events. As always, we thank you for your continued support of CHILDREN AT RISK and the children we serve.

Very truly yours,
Jaime Hanks Meyers
Managing Director, North Texas

4) “Right now, in Texas, you can have a young girl up in your hotel room sooner than you can get a pizza.” Bob Sanborn, President and CEO of CHILDREN AT RISK, made this sobering statement this month at an event organized by CHILDREN AT RISK and the American Bar Association in response to Laurel Bellows, President of the ABA, making human trafficking her priority.
