November, 2012

The 2012-2013 Philharmonic Pops Concert Series carries on the tradition of bringing outstanding performances from up-and-coming as well as nationally acclaimed artists. On December 1st, continue the holiday tradition with Holiday Pops. It will have everyone’s holiday favorites and will feature guest artists Travis Cloer, Kristen Hertzenberg, the UNT University Singers, ACU Faculty Jazz Ensemble and the Wylie Junior High Choir. Bring the entire family and celebrate the joy of the season with us. There is an added special matinee at 3 p.m. in addition to the 8 p.m. performance.

“We are very excited about our Holiday Pops this year. Not one, but two Las Vegas stars as our vocal soloists, dancers, a world-class choir, lots and lots of holiday favorites mixed with new surprises. We're going to have a lot of fun” stated David Itkin, music director and conductor.

Our 3 p.m. Matinee is specially priced for families with general admission seating. Children under age 6 are FREE and children ages 6-17 are just $5. Adult tickets are $10. Dyess Air Force Base families can contact the Airman and Family Readiness Center for FREE tickets thanks to support from the Philharmonic’s TicketReach Program. The Matinee will be a shorter version of the evening performance which will include a sing-along, Santa and treats for kids of all ages. The Matinee sponsors are Rentech Boiler Systems and First Financial Bank.

Our 8 p.m. evening concert has been a traditional community favorite for years, so get your tickets now while seats are still available!
