“We are very excited about this season. This season offers so many talented artists and incredible pieces chosen by Maestro Itkin that each concert will have everyone in awe at the beauty that is on our stage,” states Heidi Kelley, executive director.

The highlight of this program includes the enchanting Violin Concerto by Beethoven. Emanuel Borok, who served as Concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra from 1985 through the 2010 season, has had a distinguished career as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral leader. Before coming to Dallas, Mr. Borok served for 11 seasons as Associate Concertmaster of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Concertmaster of the Boston Pops Orchestra.

Born and trained in the Soviet Union, Mr. Borok received his early musical instruction at the renowned Darzinya Music School in Riga, Latvia, and the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow. He currently serves on the prestigious music faculty of the University of North Texas and the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University.

Prior to the concert, all ticket holders are invited to join Maestro Itkin and the guest artist for an engaging talk about the music selections. “Concert Conversations” is an informal discussion about the evening’s program starting at 7:15 p.m. backstage and is free to the audience.
