August 5, CCSC's Back-to-School Collection: Your donation of $45 will purchase new school supplies and a new uniform for a Houston area child in need so that they may start the school year ready to succeed! Make checks payable to St. Luke's with "Back-to-School" on the memo line and place them in the collection plate.

August 4, Singles will volunteer at  Christian Community Service Center's Back to School supply distribution at Faith Lutheran Church, 4600 Bellaire Blvd.  Shifts are  from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 12 - 5 p.m.  No need to register, just come to help!  


August 8-9, Galveston Island Get-a-way for Middle School students, Details online.    


August 9, Sr. Adults Summertime Picnic (in the air conditioning) with fried chicken and all the trimmings. Join the fun at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Entertainment by Jean Mayhew, "the hat lady" promises to be a special treat. RSVP to Kathy Neely at 713-402-5139.


August 12, Singles Second Sunday Lunch at Five Guys Hamburgers, Post Oak at San Felipe. Meet in the Commons after worship service or at the restaurant. Contact Susan Silvus.    


August 16, Senior Adults day trip to the Sea Center in Lake Jackson and lunch at the Red Snapper Inn in Surfside. From 9 a.m. -

August 17, 18, 19, Babes on Broadway presented by Pure Sound Youth Choir on August 17, 18 and 19, Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
