Fair Housing Choice Survey

May, 2012

Fair Housing Choice Survey

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) is in the process of updating the State of Texas Plan for Fair Housing Choice: Analysis of Impediments (AI). The purpose of the AI is to examine a broad range of public and private factors that influence Texans' choice of housing.

Stakeholder Survey

As a partner of TDHCA, TSAHC would like to encourage you to participate in the stakeholder survey found below. Your participation is voluntary, but very important to the development of a meaningful analysis.  All responses are confidential, and will only be reported in combination with those of other participants. Please forward this link to your colleagues so that they can reach as many stakeholders as possible.

You can access the stakeholder survey here:

Resident Survey

In addition to the stakeholder survey targeted to professionals with knowledge of housing and housing choice, the State is also hosting an online resident survey to gather information from the perspectives of Texas residents. Please promote the resident survey by sending the link to your members, clients and others in your network. The resident survey is available in both English and Spanish.

You can access the English-language resident survey here:

If you need a reasonable accommodation, such as being able to take the survey by phone or on paper, please contact Christy Pushchak at or 800-748-3222 ext. 261.

Thank you for assisting with this important effort. For more information on the State of Texas Plan for Fair Housing Choice: Analysis of Impediments (AI), please visit the website at
