March, 2012

The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas (BCSTX) announces its 2012 Summer Program schedule with its newly revised curriculum. Two week long intensive dance programs will be held along with six consecutive weeks of ballet classes (for all ages and levels). The popular Budding Ballerina Camp is also back again this year, offering two sessions, and has been revised and expanded upon from last year.

New Associate Director, Marieli Guardiola has tailored each of these summer programs to be new and fresh by offering different styles of dance, such asJazz and Modern, in the intensive dance programs and by creating themes forBudding Ballerina Camp. “Budding Ballerina Camp [for ages 3-7] in particular is geared to promote coordination, grace, creativity and fun. When developing the curriculum I tried to not only to introduce classical ballet technique, but also make it a fun learning experience for the students,” says Guardiola.

Budding Ballerina Camp will have two sessions, June 11-15 and July 16-20. Summer Intensive Programs will also be held in two sessions, June 4-8 and August 13-17. Summer Ballet Classes for ages 3 to adult will be offered from June 18 – July 27. For more information on these programs please visit
