Austin, Texas – March 5, 2012 – Ballet Austin Guild announces ten outstanding Austin area volunteers that have been selected for recognition at their 18th Annual Women On Their Toes spring luncheon event, benefiting Ballet Austin. The mission of this event is to draw attention to the tremendous work these volunteers contribute to the Austin community and the organizations they serve.


Each year, Ballet Austin Guild invites area nonprofit organizations to nominate their most exceptional volunteers; the women and men who go above and beyond in their efforts and accomplishments on behalf of the organizations they tirelessly serve for the betterment of the Austin community and the world. Women On Their Toes is an annual opportunity for Ballet Austin Guild to shine the spotlight on these volunteers, and to celebrate their passion for volunteering, and their dedication to organizations’ missions.


Volunteers selected by Ballet Austin Guild’s nominating committee for recognition at this year’s event on are:

·         Jarrett Crippen, Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas

·         Griffin Davis, The Trail Foundation

·         Lauren Espinoza, Badgerdog Literary Publishing

·         Jenny Eversole, Hospice Austin

·         Amrita Moor, The Amala Foundation

·         Kerri Morrison, New Milestones Foundation

·         Misty O’Neal, Texas Hearing and Service Dogs

·         Mary Ann Parker, Assistance League of Austin

·         Jimmy Shields, The Christi Center

·         Ted Whatley, Breakthrough Austin


The event, themed “Passion, Fashion & Philanthropy” and attended by more than 400 patrons, will culminate with a dynamic fashion show by Estilo, a people and critics’ choice favorite boutique. Following the fashion show, several raffle packages, each worth thousands, will be awarded.
