Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

December, 2011

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will continue the 2011-2012 Pops Series in January with “Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney,” starring the uncanny Sir Paul look-alike and sound-alike Tony Kishman.

The three performances are 8 p.m. Jan. 20 and 21, and 2 p.m. Jan. 22 at Bass Performance Hall. Tickets are $27-$79, on sale now at 817-665-6000 or

Veteran of the Broadway hit Beatlemania, Tony Kishman has toured worldwide with the productions Twist and Shout, Classical Mystery Tour, All You Need Is Love and Legends in Concert. He’s an accomplished musician and singer who performs absolutely live without lip-syncing or tricks.

Live and Let Die features a four-piece band: Tony Kishman and Jim Owen on vocals, keyboards, guitar and bass; John Brosnan and John Merjave on guitar; and Chris Camilleri on drums and vocals. (Tony and several members of Live and Let Die also perform as the Beatles in Classical Mystery Tour, a perennial hit at the FWSO’s Concerts in the Garden.)

The set list will include many well-known Beatles songs as well as Paul McCartney solo works: Hey Jude, Penny Lane, Live and Let Die, Yesterday, My Love, Uncle Albert, Let It Be, Maybe I’m Amazed, Hello Good-Bye, Long and Winding Road, Get Back, Silly Love Songs and Jet, backed by the lush sounds of the full symphony orchestra conducted by Martin Herman.

These concerts are part of the Star-Telegram Pops Series and are made possible by season sponsors Star-Telegram, American Airlines and Worthington Renaissance Hotel. Promotional support is provided by Star-Telegram and WRR Classical 101.1 FM.
