The Encounter Band, along with some of the city's finest string players will join in a musical celebration of the coming of the greatest gift of all, the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ during this contemporary worship service at 8:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Christmas BrunchMarch to the Manger

During the Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45 a.m.) children age 2 through 5th grade will visit the live nativity in the Children's Chapel and bring one new, unwrapped toy to donate to Jingle Bell Express  

served from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Activities Center. Advent crafts and a visit with Santa will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a holiday sing-a-long with Rob Landes beginning at noon. $10/adult and $5/child.Tickets are available online, or can be purchase the day of the event.

There is still time to be part of Angel Tree and share your Christmas with 70 families in the Gethsemane neighborhood.


  • Your monetary donations will be used to purchase gifts. 
  • Worship with the  Angel Tree families at the Gethsemane Campus, 10:55 a.m. on December 4 
  • Host the 12:30 p.m. Angel Tree Luncheon that same day  at the Gethsemane Campus.

December 3, It's a Wonderful Life! A "live" radio broadcast of this holiday classic will be performed at 7 p.m. in the Rotunda Theater.

The United Methodist Women's
Spiritual Growth Service is in the Westheimer chapel at 10:30 a.m. Love Came Down at Christmas is a time of song, story and Holy Communion followed by brunch in the Hines Baker Room. New unwrapped toys for toddlers will be collected for Jingle Bell Express. Childcare is available by reservation.   


December 11, Annual Christmas Music Festival at the 8:30, 9:45 and 11 a.m. worship services in the Sanctuary at the Westheimer Campus. This year's festival features a full orchestra, award-winning gospel singer Cynthia Wilson and St. Luke's Chancel Choir.


December 11, Las Posadas (both campuses) During Sunday School, children age 3-5th grade will re-enact Mary and Joseph's journey as they await the arrival of baby Jesus.  


December 11, Poinsettia Cheer: Stop by the Commons at the Westheimer Campus from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to select a poinsettia to take to one of our Friends At Home members.  


December 11, Retirement Celebration honoring Susan Silvus for 25 years of service to St. Luke's. Reception is in the Fellowship Hall at 12:30 p.m. Leave a message for Susan online.
