Calling All Christians – Sermon Series


Calling All Christians address issues of vocation and the Christian life. If you have ever wondered if God has something more for you to do, or what your calling might be, this is the message for you!


A complimentary small group curriculum titled Listen, will accompany the study.

May 29, 5th Sunday at the Gethsemane Campus, all Adult Sunday School classes from both campuses are invited to hear guest speakers from Duke Divinity School. As part of a partnership between St. Luke’s and Duke aimed at developing creative urban outreach ministry programs through the Gethsemane campus, Dr. Willie Jennings and Dean Laceye Warner will co-lead the session. Dr. Jennings is Associate Professor of Theology and Black Church Studies and specializes in the areas of systematic theology and black church and cultural studies. Dean Warner, an ordained elder in the Texas Annual Conference, currently serves as Associate Dean for Academic Formation and Programs, Associate Professor of the Practice of Evangelism and Methodist Studies, and the Royce and Jane Reynolds Teaching Fellow at Duke University Divinity School. Come at 9:15 a.m. for fellowship before the 9:30 a.m. program.
