Calling All Christians – Sermon Series


Beginning May 8, is new sermon series Calling All Christians. The series will address issues of vocation and the Christian life. If you have ever wondered if God has something more for you to do, or what your calling might be, this is the message for you!


A complimentary small group curriculum titled Listen, will accompany the study.

Mark your Calendar

May 8, Bridges Fine Arts Academy will present HGO star,
Jamie Barton in recital for its annual spring fundraiser on Mother's Day, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The recital will be preceded by a silent auction in the Hines Baker Room. Tickets are $20 general admission and $10 for students with a current ID.  Proceeds from this recital will provide music scholarships and fund Music Outreach in HISD Elementary Schools. Tickets are available online.


Save the Date

May 15, Nick Finnegan Ministry’s First Annual Crawfish Boil from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Blanco's. Proceeds benefit the St. Luke's Center for Counseling & Life Enrichment One ticket will provide you with all-you-can-eat crawfish, as well as live entertainment provided by Twist n Shout.   Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door and can be purchased online at Contact Rachel Etheridge at 713-402-5036 or for more details.

May 19, Survival Skills for Marriage, a premarital workshop for engaged or newly married couples.  Led by Dr. Kelton Ro-Trock LMFT, LPC and Dr. John Vincent, LCP explores the highlights of important issues in marriage with tools for managing them. Thursday, May 19 6-9pm. 

May 19 Adoption Support Group with family dinner from 6-6:30 p.m. followed by separate break out groups for parents and children. Parents will hear about building strong child-parent relationships from Teddie Melhart Wright and children (ages 5 and up) will meet with Amy Birchill for an adoptive children's activity. Childcare will be available for children ages 4 and under. Call 713-402-5134.
