    GRACE Friends & Family

The Friends and Family program at GRACE is up and going.  Volunteers have been trained and clients have been interviewed.  We started pairing volunteers with the clients and have taken a few volunteers out to meet with the client that has been assigned to them.  The clients are very excited about getting their personnel volunteer and the volunteers are very excited about getting started.  The program will provide much needed help to the GRACE seniors.  We all look forward to adding more volunteers and seeing this new program really take off!

    Christmas Cottage Pleas...
There are still a few stores that have wrapping paper, tape and bows on clearance and at steep discounts. Please consider purchasing and donating these items for our next Christmas Cottage. If you'd like to make a donation, please contact Lori Stevens at

    ...And Thank You!

This past Saturday, volunteers helped take down decorations and pack up all that remained of the 2010 GRACE and Park Place Lexus Christmas Cottage. We'd like to express our gratitude to all of the individuals and groups who helped return the donated space back into a suitable building for leasing!

    Client Thank You
We recently received a very sweet note from a fairly new client and we wanted to share it with you.

"I want to thank you all at GRACE for everything. May God continue to bless and provide. Thanks to your Christmas Cottage that "made" Christmas for my children. But, as my children and I know, Christmas is about Jesus and family, not Santa and presents. I thank you (GRACE) for allowing me to see better days. May God bless!!!"

This single mother of three came in for help with food, but was also able to sign up for Christmas Cottage and holiday food distribution and received assistance with rent. She is currently working and looking for a second job. She was also able to buy her first car recently.

Thank you to all GRACE supporters for making it possible to have such a positive impact on the lives of others!
    Clinic Awarded New Funding

    Emma Lindrose - Development Manager

The GRACE Outreach to Health Community ClinicGRACE's Outreach for Health Community Clinic is delighted to announce it has been awarded a 3-year grant by the following community partners: Baylor Health Care System, HCA North Texas Division, Methodist Health System, and Texas Health Resources.

The grant was awarded as part of a growing effort in the community to increase access to medical care for the indigent. The GRACE Clinic provides medical care and prescriptions to clients with no health insurance and marginal means to access care elsewhere. In the five years the Clinic has been at its permanent location, patient visits have increased 368%.

We are blessed with this grant in that it allows us to grow and adjust to increasing demand in the community and our existing patients' needs.
