Make this Holiday BRIGHT for TRAC foster youth!

November, 2010

CitySq, TRAC
Holidays at TRAC

Dear Jackie,

The Holiday season is quickly approaching and TRAC, a program of CitySquare, has several ways that you can get involved. You have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of foster youth transitioning into adulthood this holiday season. Brightening their holidays would not be possible without your time and generosity.

Our Annual Christmas Party will be December 16 from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Church of the Incarnation.  We need your help in the following ways:

  • help serve the meal
  • set up and take down for the party
  • provide small crafts activity for children of our youth
  • help children in completing the craft activity at the party
  • contribute funds to help us purchase gift requests for 300 TRAC youth (see below)

**There is 1 special place available for a volunteer who wants to be Santa (and preferably has or can borrow a Santa costume).

Additional ways to help at TRAC this holiday season include:

Angel Tree

60% of youth Nationwide become parents within 18 months of aging out of the foster care system. Make a difference in the lives of the children of our youth by adopting them for Christmas. Contact Heather for the Christmas wishes and needs of the

Gift Cards
Gift Card
Purchase a $50 gift card for a TRAC youth. TRAC is empowering youth to make wise financial decisions, therefore we would like to provide them with gift cards for the Holidays to purchase items they need and want. Cards are for Wal-Mart, Target and Forver 21.

Gift Card: $50
Make a donation to TRAC in any amount and we will purchase the gift cards at one time based on youth requests.

Winter Coat Drive
The weather is getting colder outside and coats, scarves, and gloves are in demand. Many of our youth will not have any of those items as the cold weather approaches. Donate coats, gloves and scarves to our youth for the winter.

Drop off coats, gloves and scarves at TRAC starting TODAY!

If you would like to help TRAC/CitySquare provide for any of the requests above or other first apartment needs, please contact Heather Hobson at (214) 370-9300 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              (214) 370-9300      end_of_the_skype_highlighting x21 or You can also send a check payable to TRAC/CitySquare at 3108 Live Oak St.  Dallas, TX 75204.

Please forward these opportunities to friends and family that would like to help out too. Thank you in advance for making this another wonderful Holiday celebration for the youth at TRAC.
