Creative vision and hard work have always been essential to Samaritan House. Our organization would not even exist if it were not for the inspiration and persistence of Richard Kurtz; and The Villages at Samaritan House, our apartment complex for families, came into being through the forward thinking and determination of our staff and board. The design and implementation of our programs and outreach efforts reflect a similar blend of bright ideas and purposeful effort. In this issue you will read about three different aspects of Samaritan House's "creative genius."

| We often refer to the Samaritan House family in describing the caring, supportive community Samaritan House has become. It's clear that our larger family is an outgrowth of the closeness and compassion within the Kurtz family itself.
