Volunteer at Bayou City Art Festival to Raise Funds for Spay-Neuter

Fall Bayou City Art Festival, Sat. Oct. 9 and Sun. Oct. 10, 2010

It is October already, and with it comes the fall Bayou City Art Festival. It takes place in downtown Houston near City Hall on Saturday, Oct. 9, and Sunday, Oct. 20, and SNAP needs your help to staff the beverage booths on both days. You’ll stay busy selling beverages to thirsty festival-goers, and SNAP will stay busy spaying and neutering cats and dogs with the funds that accumulate in the form of tips and as a percentage of sales. It’s a rewarding effort for all concerned! Full story.

This month we are excited to announce that this program launches on October 16, 2010, which is National Feral Cat Day. Community cats include feral cats and tame but free-roaming cats, i.e., cats that do not have a single permanent home. Full story.
