San Antonio Botanical Garden

September, 2010

BOOtanica! Fall Festival, H-E-B Day at the San Antonio Botanical Garden celebrates the traditions of Halloween and the excitement of fall gardening. Activities are scheduled all day on Sunday, October 24, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thanks to H-E-B, all guests will enjoy $2 off admission to the Garden.

Plant Sale, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The fall months offer our city a good time to plant, so shop for gorgeous San Antonio-friendly plants cultivated by Botanical Society volunteers. Choose from unusual varieties as well favorite species. All plants have been meticulously grown by the trained volunteers in the Botanical Society greenhouses. The plants in gallon pots are specially priced for the sale. The more you buy, the better the deal! 1 to 3 pots, $5 each. 4 to 9 pots, $4 each. 10 pots or more, $3 each. Bring in 25 empty gallon pots (liners) and get a free plant. The volunteers will be on hand to offer information about each plant for sale.

Playhouses and Forts. This is the last chance to see the Playhouses & Forts exhibit! From secret hideouts to imaginary worlds, the eight structures offer children of all ages the opportunity for creative play. Explore these amazing forts through October 24.
