But you can help prevent it.

A city should be about its people, not just buildings and government. Currently,
the City of Dallas plans to drastically cut libraries, parks, culture, and the
arts--just to name a few--and in some cases, entirely cut off budgetary life-support
for many of our favorite places, groups, activities, artists, teachers, and pastimes,
threatening their ability to survive, much less thrive.

The Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex is the fastest growing urban center in the country.
We owe it to ourselves to keep our communities pulsing with reading, writing, creating,
and learning. Balancing a budget doesn't mean forgetting why we live here in the
first place.
