Thank you !

Thanks to community support, NAM received more than $157,000 in food and cash for our Survival Over the Summer food drive! This exceeded our goal!

Poverty among our schoolchildren

Did you know that...

  • Almost  out of 10 Texas public schoolchildren come from low-income families, marking a troubling spike in poverty over the last decade?
  • Impoverished and disadvantaged children are more likely to falter academically and drop out?
  • The number of poor children in Texas schools has increased by 48% in the last ten years?

(Houston Chronicle, January 2, 2010)

NAM's Back to School Drive

Help send neighborhood children back to school in clothes they can wear proudly and with the supplies needed to learn! Our goal is to raise $72,500 to help 2,500 kids. Over 1,000 kids have already signed up for the project and the supplies should arrive in early July. However, only $22,000 has been raised to date. Your tax deductible gift will help us level the playing field for these kids. Make a gift to NAM’s BACK-TO-SCHOOL drive today at  by going  to “Special Projects” and selecting

Virtual Back-to-School Drive
”.  THANK YOU so much for caring!!  (Any surplus funds will be applied where needed most.)

Saddle Up for NAM!

Wonderful life-sized fiberglass horses are making their way to the Northwest Houston/North Harris County area in June. The horses will be painted by local artists selected by a panel of judges and then displayed throughout the community. During the time the horses are being painted, they will be “stabled” at Vintage Park.

For $3,500, individuals or businesses may display a painted horse on their property for several weeks leading up to the Jeans & Jewels Gala, at which the horse will be auctioned off. The sponsorship also includes a half page ad in the gala program.

For $10,000, individuals or businesses may order a custom painted horse, which also includes the donor’s name on a plaque at the base of the horse and a full page ad in the gala program. The custom horses belong to their sponsors, and will not be auctioned off.

It’s not just a stampede…it’s going to be a NAMpede! For info on entering the art competition or sponsoring a horse, call 281-885-4608 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              281-885-4608      end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
