The New York Times #1 Best Selling Author, is a columnist for The Guardian newspaper
in London. His first novel, Incendiary [],
was published in twenty countries, shortlisted for the 2006 Commonwealth Writers'
Prize, and won the 2006 Somerset Maugham Award, United States Book-of-the-Month
Club's First Fiction Award, and Prix Special du Jury at the French Prix des Lecteurs
2007. Cleave's second novel, Little Bee [],
the harrowing, but often funny story of an unlikely friendship between a Nigerian
teenaged girl and London housewife, was shortlisted for the prestigious Costa Award
for Best Novel, is on numerous lists for "Best Books of 2009," and is currently
the #1 Paperback on The New York Times Best Sellers' list. Little Bee is being made

Babatunde Solarin []

A Yoruba, BABATUNDE SOLARINwas born and raised in Nigeria, West Africa. He is an
accomplished poet, sought-after storyteller, and winner of a 2006 Highlights' Book
Award for his featured tale "In the Footsteps of Mama Bobo." His stories are modeled
in the tradition of the ancient West African Griots.
