Build the global network to provide hope and support...

Women exposed to war often suffer the same types of emotional distress as men in combat. When they witness their children being used as pawns, shields and soldiers, they suffer even more.

Women who themselves may have been exposed to sexual violence, dismemberment or the gruesome death of loved ones are often left to heal the wounds of their broken families. They try to instill hope and create a sense of safety again-for their children, their families and their communities.

Thank you for being part of Psychology Beyond Borders's global network to provide opportunities to the families of those affected by the war in Sierra Leone.  With your voice and support, we can help former child soldiers and their families to successfully move through their distress and grief towards recovery and a sense of hope.
