Amarillo Cops Earn Tips for Special Olympics Texas

AMARILLO - Law Enforcement Torch Run officers are calling in back up for the Tip A Cop fundraiser for Special Olympics Texas on June 29 at Texas Roadhouse, located at 2805 W. I-40.  From 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. cops will work to earn tips to support local Special Olympics Texas athletes.  Spend the evening with Amarillo’s finest!

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an actual running event in which officers and athletes run the "Flame of Hope" to the Opening Ceremonies of local Special Olympics competitions, state Games, National and World Summer or Winter Games. The Law Enforcement Torch Run has been a Special Olympics tradition for more than 25 years; in Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run® began in 1985.
