Proposal Writing Services
Grant Proposals  This includes:

(1) Planning - assigning specific roles and tasks, allotting time for contingencies and asking the right questions regarding project, outcomes measurement and reporting; and

(2) Writing - crafting a proposal that clearly presents why the client’s project fits the funder’s criteria, submitting drafts for review to ensure accurate portrayal of the project, complying with all grant guidelines and documentation requirements, and delivering the final draft in order to permit its timely submission by client.

Development Plans  Working with development staff and board members to write a comprehensive, multi-year development plan that supports the nonprofit’s strategic goals.

Marketing Support Services
Marketing Materials Audits  Grant proposals need to be consistent with all information that is accessible to the funder.  Aurora Grants will audit a client’s marketing materials in conjunction with writing a proposal, and submit a report on updates or improvements necessary to keep all messaging current and in compliance with their mission statement.

Nonprofit Blog  Aurora Grants publishes a monthly blog highlighting best practices observed while working with its clients.  This not only benefits the client with free publicity, but also introduces them to a host of other nonprofits that are potential partners for future program and funding opportunities.

Additional Services
Research  Identifying funding sources whose missions are most closely aligned with that of the client in order to improve the chances for grant approval, and analyzing each source’s funding trends to help formulate the appropriate ask.  This service is offered on a single contract or ongoing basis

Support  Proof-reading and proposal writing support services to pinpoint grammatical and spelling errors, inconsistencies, unsupported assumptions that might be stumbling blocks for reviewers, and to check that all required documents are appended and in the correct order.

Writing Workshops  One-hour and half-day workshops on proposal writing and written correspondence can be tailored to the client’s specific needs.

Board Development/Strategic Planning  Aurora Grants often recommends additional consulting in the areas of board development and strategic planning, and works with the Niles Partners to provide these services upon request.
